Sean works collaboratively with his clients, tailoring each session to their individual needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals. He draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure & Response Prevention, Mindfulness Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. Sean aims to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients feel able to explore challenges at their own pace. Sean has experience providing one-to-one counselling, psychoeducation and mindfulness-based support to both young people and adults, as well as facilitating group therapy sessions. He is also an experienced provider of trauma-informed care, supporting young people with complex needs in both community and care settings.
Sean has a SCOTACS Diploma in Counselling and Groupwork – A Cognitive Behavioural Approach and a COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate.
Sean is a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). He is also a member of Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA).
