
Rebecca Dyas is a senior applied psychology practitioner who works with children and adolescents (age 5-18 years) with a wide range of issues and problems including: anxiety; depression/low mood; stress; abuse; anger; assertiveness; bereavement/grief; body image; bullying; disordered eating; exam stress; gender/sexual identity; life transitions; loneliness; low self-esteem; mindfulness; neglect; obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); panic; phobias; relationship issues; relaxation; risk taking; self-harm; and many more issues.
She has a special interest in working with neurodivergence and anxiety.
She has an MSc in Applied Psychology with Children and Young People as well as an MSc in Child Health (research) and a BSc in Psychology both from the University of Aberdeen.

Rebecca's way of working
Rebecca aims to tailor her therapeutic approach to meet each client's individual needs and preferences. She mainly uses Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and integrates this will elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy and other approaches/techniques where she feels these may be helpful to a client.Rebecca's background and training
Rebecca is an experienced practitioner who has worked in various clinical or research roles within the NHS for ten years.
