
Dr Kerry Phair is a health psychologist who works with individual adults, couples, children/young people (age 5+) and families across a wide range of issues and problems including: anxiety, depression/low mood, stress, anger/aggression, assertiveness, bereavement/grief, chronic illness, eating and body image, gender and sexual identity, life transitions, loneliness, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias, relaxation, self-harm and many more.
Kerry has a particular interest in working with children, young people and families to support mental health and physical health concerns.
She also offers supervision for fellow practitioners on a one-to-one basis.
Kerry holds a DPsych in Health Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University as well as a BSc in Psychology from Heriot Watt University.
Kerry is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and she is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Kerry's way of working
Kerry aims to build a strong therapeutic relationship with each client so they feel supported in sessions and able to talk openly and freely while also working hard to achieve their goals. She works in a person-centred, humanistic way in her counselling/psychotherapy work, favouring a more structured therapeutic approach which may include elements from a number of therapies such as Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Person-centred Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Compassion Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focussed Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy and Schema Therapy. Kerry has worked as a clinical support worker in various settings including in an inpatient unit of a hospital for children and young people; as an assistant practitioner for a paediatric outreach team; and providing therapeutic/support services for a number of charities.Kerry holds a DPsych in Health Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University as well as a BSc in Psychology from Heriot Watt University.
