Devika's way of workingDevika uses a relational approach in her counselling / psychotherapy work, offering time and space for clients to think and feel within a gentle, supportive and non-judgemental therapeutic relationship. She integrates elements from a number of different approaches including Play Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy and Gestalt Therapy into her client work to meet the needs and preferences of each individual. In addition, she has a psychodynamic training which informs her practice. She is able to work in the short-term on a specific issue, or over a longer period of time to work through deeper trauma or feelings about who you are and how you relate to others.

Devika's background and trainingDevika has worked as a counsellor/psychotherapist in a number of different settings including in the NHS, in schools and in private practice.
She has an MSc in Psychoanalytic Observation and Reflective Practice (Therapeutic Skills with Children and Young People), an MSc and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy, and a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling.
Devika is registered with the UKCP to work with adults and children.
