
Agnes Ulmer is an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist who works with individual adults and couples with a wide variety of issues and problems including: anxiety; depression/low mood; stress; abuse/neglect; bereavement/grief; body image; bullying; disordered eating; gender identity; life transitions; loneliness; low self-esteem; obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); relationship concerns; and many more issues.

Agnes has a Diploma in Relationship Counselling and a COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate. In addition, she has a BA in Personnel Management from the University of Pecs, Hungary.
She is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Agnes' way of working
Agnes aims to provide a safe space in which her clients can fully explore their issues and problems. She integrates elements from a number of approaches/techniques into her counselling/psychotherapy work in order to provide therapy that best meets the needs and preferences of each client. These may include: Mindfulness Based Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy.Agnes is fluent in Hungarian and she is happy to work with clients who feel more comfortable speaking in this language.
Agnes' background and training
Agnes has worked as a counsellor for several years and in addition, she works as as specialist mentor supporting university and college students with mental health issues. Before moving to the UK and retraining as a counsellor, Agnes worked as a social worker in Hungary for six years.Agnes has a Diploma in Relationship Counselling and a COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate. In addition, she has a BA in Personnel Management from the University of Pecs, Hungary.
She is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
