Tasim Martin-Berg is a Consultant Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered by the British Psychological Society. She has over 15 years' clinical experience in a variety of settings. In addition, she is Deputy Programme Leader at Glasgow Caledonian University, where she teaches postgraduate psychology students.

Tasim has extensive experience working with adults, adolescents (11+) and the LGBT community with a range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood/depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, loss and change, relationship issues, recovery from the effects of trauma and abuse, self-harm and suicidality, sexuality including coming out, parenting, and managing intense emotions and self-destructive behaviours. She also works with couples.

Tasim offers an individual approach to meet the needs of any client, deciding in a collaborative way which psychological therapy will be most effective. She draws on a range of therapies including:

She also has specialist training and skills in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) – a variation of CBT developed specifically to treat emotion dysregulation and multiple, high risk, out-of-control behaviours (often the sorts of difficulties associated with a diagnosis of 'borderline personality disorder').

Tasim's training

Tasim has an undergraduate degree from Edinburgh University. She completed her doctoral level training in Counselling Psychology at City University (Post-MSc). She completed her British Isles DBT intensive training in 2004-05.

Tasim's fees
