Asperger’s Syndrome is a type of autism that affects how people relate to and communicate with others. People with Asperger’s usually experience problems in three main areas: communication, social interaction and imagination.
Experts believe a number of physical factors may result in the development of Asperger’s, but this is not fully understood. Asperger’s is not the result of emotional or physical deprivation as is commonly believed. Asperger’s Syndrome relates to how the brain is hardwired. For this reason, there is no cure, but it is possible to help those with Asperger’s Syndrome become more able to cope with life.
