Tanya is an experienced BACP accredited Counsellor/ Psychotherapist who works with individuals and couples.

She has worked extensively with personal and relationship difficulties and is experienced in working with a range of issues including loss and bereavement, intimacy problems, personal transitions (retirement, becoming parents, relocation, changing career) as well as common difficulties such as low mood and anxiety.

Tanya has worked in higher education, the voluntary sector, the private sector and in independent practice, and has a keen interest in how our personality interacts with the circumstances around us to present us with challenges as well as offer the potential for change.

Tanya's background includes degrees in Philosophy with Psychology, and Sociology with a research interest in gender. She has a Postgraduate Diploma in counselling, which provides her with a strong background in both psychodynamic and person-centred approaches, and has undertaken extensive further training in a range of psychological areas, including a specialist focus on working with couples. As a result, she is able to offer both short-term and longer-term counselling / psychotherapy to individuals and couples.

Tanya charges £50 a session for self-funding clients. She has a range of fees for employers and organisations that are available on request.
