Dr Sally McKenna, Chartered Counselling Psychologist
Sally is an experienced Counselling Psychologist who is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and chartered by the British Psychological Society.
Sally is skilled in the use of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and psychological counselling.
She works with clients suffering a range of difficulties who are seeking to make changes in their lives. She has a particular interest in working with people experiencing: anxiety and panic attacks, social anxiety, health anxiety, phobias, obsessions and compulsions (OCD - obsessive compulsive disorder), pre-occupation with appearance (BDD - body dismorphic disorder), self-harming and impulsive behaviours, low mood and depression, self-esteem, and the effects of childhood trauma on adults.
Sally has extensive experience working with young adults (over 17 years old) and students, as well as adults of working age. She welcomes individuals with difficulties at home, with studies, in the workplace, and day-to-day problems.
As well as working as part of First Psychology Centre, Edinburgh's team, Sally works part-time as a psychologist in the NHS.
Sally charges £70 a session for self-funding clients. She has a range of fees for employers and organisations that are available on request.
