Lorraine is a professional and compassionate person who is passionate about supporting others during difficult times. She integrates elements from a number of different therapy styles into her counselling / psychotherapy work and she tailors her approach to meet the individual needs and preferences of each person. Lorraine offers a number of therapies including Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Crisis Intervention Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

Lorraine also offers Coaching to individuals who wish to work towards achieving specific goals. 
 

Lorraine's background and training

Lorraine has experience working in a number of helping roles/settings including managing a crisis centre, volunteering for a suicide intervention centre, and working in private practice. Prior to this, she worked as a senior Manager in a corporate environment for many years.

Lorraine has an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, a Diploma in Counselling Theory, an Advanced CBT Diploma, a Mindfulness Teacher Award, Transactional Analysis 101, and Advanced Brain Working Recursive Therapy (level 2). In addition, Lorraine has completed a course in Counselling Supervision.

Lorraine is an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS). She is also a member of the Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) Institute.
