Andrew Bulman is an applied psychology practitioner who works with individual adults with a wide range of issues and problems including: anxiety; low mood/depression; stress; anger/aggression; assertiveness; bereavement/grief; chronic illness; eating and body image issues; gender/sexual identity; life transitions; loneliness; low self-esteem; obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD); phobias; relaxation; self-harm; and many more issues. 

Andrew has a particular interest in non-malignant chronic pain, medically unexplained symptoms and performance-based psychology and growth optimisation. 
 

Andrew's way of working

Andrew aims to provide an environment in which his clients feel respected, valued and listened to. He often starts the therapy process from a humanist and person-centred standpoint as he believes this is most beneficial for clients. Andrew will tailor his therapeutic approach to meet the individual needs and preferences of each person. He offers a range of therapies including Counselling/Psychotherapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Emotion Focussed Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Coaching.
 

Andrew's background and training

Andrew has worked in a number of supporting roles including working as a trainee health psychologist offering Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to clients; and delivering the national diabetes prevention programme in group-based settings. In addition, Andrew has worked as a health psychologist research assistant developing and undertaking research projects relating to mental health. Prior to training in the area of health psychology, Andrew worked as a qualified chartered surveyor and then as a business analyst in the finance sector.  

Andrew has a Masters in Health Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University and an MSc in Psychological Studies from the University of Glasgow. He is currently working towards a Doctorate in Health Psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University. 
 

Andrew's fees
