Amanda's way of working

Amanda is an empathetic and non-judgemental therapist with the ability to adapt her approach to benefit the client and their individual needs. She believes that being flexible in her approach is important to help clients move forward throughout their therapeutic journey with hope. Amanda’s counselling/psychotherapy work is influenced by a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as Person-Centred Counselling; Integrative Counselling; Solution Focused Counselling; Brief Therapy; Existential Counselling; Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT); Gestalt Counselling; and Psychodynamic Counselling. Additionally, she is able to work with people who have experienced trauma using a trauma-informed approach.
 

Amanda's background and experience

Amanda had a background in the healthcare sector before she became a counsellor. She has nine years of counselling experience, and was also one of the project managers for a residential retreat programme for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

Amanda has an Honours Degree in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from Middlesex University, and a Diploma of Higher Education in Person-Centred Counselling from Middlesex University.

Amanda is a registered member of BACP.
