 Maisie Hennessey, Counsellor / Psychotherapist

Maisie Hennessey, Counsellor / psychotherapist

Maisie is an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist who offers individual counselling to adults.

She has degrees in psychology and law and a Pg.Dip in Counselling (focused on both the psychodynamic and person-centred approaches).

She has worked in a range of settings, including a psychiatric clinic for eating disorders (undertaking research) and is presently employed in an occupational health setting offering short-term counselling to NHS employees as well as being a member of the team at The Edinburgh Psychology Centre.

Maisie offers both short-term and longer-term counselling/psychotherapy, and she is able to work with most common difficulties and concerns. She practises from a psychodynamic orientation, but thinks it is important to be both pragmatic and flexible in using these principles. She sees a strong, trusting relationship as the core of whatever work is undertaken.

Maisie charges £50 a session for self-funding clients. She has a range of fees for employers and organisations that are available on request.

To enquire about availability or make a booking to see Maisie for an initial session please contact the Edinburgh Psychology Centre on 0131-668-1440.
