Dr Lisa Harrow, Chartered Clinical Psychologist
Lisa is an experienced clinical psychologist chartered by the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health Professions Council.
Lisa specialises in working with adults with a range of difficulties. These include: anxiety issues such as social anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, phobias, health anxiety and generalised anxiety, stress and adjustement following major life events; bereavement; low self-esteem; eating disorders including bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder; mood problems including depression and anger; sleep difficulties such as insomnia; and relationship difficulties.
Lisa is trained in a number of different therapeutic approaches. She is skilled in using cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT), in addition to recent developments within the cognitive therapy field such as compassion focused therapy and mindfulness based cognitive therapy. Lisa also uses interpersonal therapy which focuses on the role of relationships in improving problems such as depression. She brings a psychodynamic perspective to her clinical practice and believes a good therapeutic relationship is crucial to successful therapy.
Lisa is also able to offer clinical research and research supervision, teaching and training and cognitive assessment.
Lisa charges £85 a session for self-funding clients (concession available). She has a range of fees for employers and organisations that are available on request.
